Masiela is an American actor, author and social worker who was born in Tirana Albania. Max and Daniela Lusha raised her as an unmarried daughter. Howorth declined her application because she's a girl. He quickly changed his opinion and apologized after listening to her sing. They formed the Dying Stars band with Jeff Fabb, a drummer. Blake Bunzel (guitarist) and Josh Newell (bassist) joined the group later. In This Moment was the name given to the group following the band's first two shows.
